What is Prepwell?

The Prepwell programme is a service run by South Tees Hospitals and Public Health South Tees which is designed to support you in improving your fitness, health and wellbeing before your planned operation or treatment.

Why is improving health important?

Having an operation affects your body at the time of surgery and for several months afterwards. Several common factors can reduce your body’s ability to deal with the physical stress of the operation. Fortunately there is time available before your operation or treatment to work with the Prepwell team so we can support you to reduce these risks.
